Problem
Solution
When nothing is displayed on the TV screen or won¡¯t be displayed properly.
Relating to TV System
¡ñ If the TV output setting has been done improperly, that may cause it to display none in the screen or displayed not properly.
¡ñ You need only to press the ¡°TV SYSTEM¡± button for about 2~3 seconds until a normal screen is displayed.
There is a total of six (6) different Output Settings, such as 480i/ 576i/ 480P/ 576P/ 720P/ 1080i.

Relating to A/V Cable Connection
¡ñ If the A/V Cable connection has been done improperly, that may cause it to display none in the screen or displayed not properly. Please ensure that the cable connection has been made properly.

Relating to HDMI Output
¡ñ There are some TVs those only supported by the modes of 720P or above.
¡ñ As the same you have done for the case of TV System Setting, you need only to press the ¡°TV SYSTEM¡± button until a normal screen is displayed.
There is a total of six (6) different Output Settings, such as
480i/576i/480P/576P/720P/1080i.

When It¡¯s Connected to the External HDD
¡ñ In case the Set has been connected to the exterior HDD, no TV output is made. Therefore, if you turn on the power over again after completing connection work to the External HDD, it will resume its normal operation.

When the HDD is not recognized.
¡ñ Make sure that the HDD cable connections within the Set have been made properly.
¡ñ Also check if the HDD has been formatted at the HMR Set or other wise it cannot be recognized. If it has not been formatted, please do the formatting.
When it is connected to the external HDD, the speed of recognition and data transmission is slow.
¡ñ Make sure that the USB cable connections have been made properly. If the UBS Port of the PC is 1.1, then data transmission is slow.
¡ñ Obtain USB 2.0 card and use it to remedy the situation.
When using Window 98 SE/ME, the USB-
External HDD does not work.
¡ñ In case of using Window 98, it¡¯s necessary that you install an exclusive-use Driver.
¡ñ Among the Disc Drive items from the Device Manager (Start-Setting-Control
Panel-System) check on ¡°Removal¡¯ for a case of Window 98SE, and check on ¡°Moveable¡± for a case of Window ME.
When the file cannot be copies.
¡ñ When trying to make a copy to HDD with USB and Network, no copy cannot be made with FAT 32 Format Partition if the file is larger than 4BG.
When network connecting and inoperable.
¡ñ Make sure that the network cable setting is in a proper working condition.
(WIRED / WIRELESS LAN, DHCP / FIX IP)
¡ñ Make sure that the setting for the Common Folder has been done correctly on the PC Fire Proof Wall, and then release it.
When files cannot be played.
¡ñ Check if a codec that supports the media file of this product is used.
¡ñ Even for a codec playable, it may able to be played according to the file characteristic and its environment.
When AVI caption file is not visible.
¡ñ This may be the case that the name of the AVI file you want to play is not coincided with that of the caption file.
¡ñ Ensure that the extension of the caption file is able to be supported,(*.smi, *.srt), and if not, you can get it converted at the PC.
*.wmv Files cannot be played.
In case of .*. wmv file, it supports only for network play.
¡ñ Confirm if the attached Utility Disc Program (Transcode Server) has been installed in the user¡¯s PC.
When problems occur, such as screen broken or instant toppage, etc.
while the network is
played.
¡ñ For a case of HD grade, not SD, it may create problems of screen faulty or instant stoppage, etc., due to speed irregularity. This issue can be resolved by making a copy on the Hard Disc using a USB and then play it.
When SCART BY-PASS
not operable.
¡ñ Make sure that the Mechanical Switch of the Product is placed in the ON position.
* For the case of a HMR-700, it is supported only when the mechanical switch is placed in the ON position.
¡ñ Make sure that the connection of the user¡¯s VCR or SET TOP Box to the SCART INPUT PORT and connection of CART OUTPUT PORT to the TV has been made correctly.
